Founder

Prayas is a teacher and an entrepreneur. He has worked on numerous pieces of speculative fiction, software, games, interactive installations, public interventions and curatorial projects. He has developed his research and practice with the support of fellowships by Sarai, Openspace, the Center for Experimental Media Arts (CEMA) and TED. More here.

Malavika Rajnarayan

Guest Faculty

Malavika Rajnarayan is based in Vadodara, Gujarat. She grew up in Bangalore and completed her B.F.A in painting from the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in 2003. She completed her post-graduation in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University of Baroda in 2006. She also  works with the Azim Premji Foundation in supporting arts teachers in primary and secondary schools. She writes on art and arts education.

Satya

Guest Faculty

Satya works with text, sound, music, image to question landscapes of social, interpersonal and self within urban/online contexts; perceptions of space/place, memory, loss. She has performed/recorded with jazz/improvised music groups in US, Europe, India. Her writing has appeared in Elsewhere Magazine, hākārā journal, Almost Island, NDTV’s art blog, SAADA’s blog.

Dr Mamta Mantri

Guest Faculty

Dr Mamta Mantri specialises in spatial criticism, and explores the idea of ‘space’ through different media, in both theory and praxis. Through her research on museums and heritage conservation, her first book on Bombay, and her creation of living spaces with an Indian idiom, she reinforces her belief that ‘space’ is a personal, political, and creative expression.
